I don’t find anything particularly great about this album, and yet I find myself coming back to it regularly.

Hm… hard to say. Get it if you want background music to get some work done. You’ll find it won’t distract you for a while then when you need a break you suddenly realise there’s a cool guitar solo playing, then it ends and you go back to work.
